SpaceX Starship Nears Third Test Launch
FAA Approves License for Test Flight
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has granted SpaceX a license to test-launch its next-generation Starship spacecraft. The launch is currently scheduled for a date yet to be disclosed.
Third Test Flight in 11 Months
This will be the third test flight of the Starship spacecraft in 11 months. The previous two flights, known as Starhopper and SN8, were both successful in reaching their intended altitudes.
Starship's Capabilities
The Starship spacecraft is designed to be a reusable launch system that can transport people and cargo to Mars and beyond. It consists of a two-stage rocket, with the Super Heavy booster stage providing the initial thrust and the Starship upper stage carrying the payload.
