Budget Session 2024-25 Commences in Parliament

First Full Budget After Re-election

The budget session for 2024-25 has commenced in the Parliament today, July 22, 2024. Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the session, highlighting the historic significance of the government's re-election and the presentation of the first full Budget following this victory.

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is expected to present the Budget 2024-2025 in Parliament in late July 2024. The Monsoon session began on Monday with the announcement that Ms. Sitharaman will present the Union Budget for 2024-25 on July 23.
