Sutton Foster, Ana Gasteyer to Star in Broadway's 'Once Upon a Mattress' Revival
The Tony-winning musical is set to return to Broadway for the first time in over 25 years.
Sutton Foster and Ana Gasteyer will star in the upcoming Broadway revival of "Once Upon a Mattress," which is set to begin performances on July 31. The new adaptation of the classic musical will be directed by Tony winner Casey Nicholaw and will feature a book by Tony winner Bob Martin and Don McKellar.
The cast of "Once Upon a Mattress" will also include Michael McGrath, Will Chase, and Daniel Breaker. The musical tells the story of Princess Winnifred, who must pass a series of tests in order to marry Prince Dauntless. The original Broadway production of "Once Upon a Mattress" opened in 1959 and starred Carol Burnett in the role of Princess Winnifred.
